Yesterday we painted four leaf clovers using green peppers.
Supplies:
- butcher paper
- green tempura paint
- foam brushes
(for adding stems)
- green pepper, sliced in half
"Whoooooa!"
"Cooooool."
Is it any surprise that J-Bug (2) had a ball? He could paint all day, and he was really quite amazed at the prints the peppers made.
He experimented with stamping, smearing, rubbing, rolling, smashing, and lightly touching the pepper to the paper.
In typical JZ (4) form he didn't paint for too long, but while he did he loved it. He thought the peppers were cool.
After adding stems to the four leaf clovers J-Bug smeared a few of his designs. (Actually, he moved to his brother's side of the table. Don't tell JZ...)
Then he grabbed paint scrapers
to see what would happen.
Inexpensive, creative fun, and the clean up took less than two minutes! Other favorite ways to paint:
- Painting with Pool Noodles
- Homemade Puffy Paint (simple three ingredient recipe!)
- Leaf Paintings
